Survival Book(GROUP ROLES)
Don't dwell on these when first joining. They are just things to think about at first and take up later.Characters can do all these roles naturally but when it is your job the amount you gather from them increases or you just do it better than other characters. A character hunting may get one deer while a character with the job hunter may get 3. You may only have two jobs but you are allowed to change those jobs.
- Leaders: Open
This character can be a group or one person. It is up to the group how their politics will play out. They will be able to make rules for the group and staff will only interfere if our character is in the leader group or a rule goes too far. If there is a battle for power characters may create their own group separate from the main one.
- Enforcers: Open
They are the leader's hands and they enforce all laws. The power they have is up to the leader or leaders. These can not exist without the leader position filled.
- Gatherers: Open
This character group is the most important at this time. They can gather large amounts so the rest of the group can work on building a society. Thieves are specialized gatherers. Other groups may send them out to get easy resources.
- Farmers: Open
Once the gatherers find edible planet life farmers may appear. To make a stable life here they must be present. Their crop auto adds food every week to the group's reserves so gatherers can relax. They are usually followers of Koi as they must use his fresh water.
- Fishermans: Open
After tools are made and the fishing pole is discovered fisherman , girls and boys, can fish in the bodies of water. They are usually followers of Koi as they get extra fish for befriending him.
- Explorers: Open
Explorers are the most likely to find new locations, gods, and new foods. Traveling with other job groups heightens the chance of finding things that relate to their job. Like traveling with a fisherman will increase the chance you will find more water.
- Hunters: Open
The same with the fisherman, once tools appear the hunter group grows. They hunt small and big prey depending on their choice of weapon.
- Trappers: Open
This group usually works with a hunter or tamer. They capture animals alive and then decide to kill them based on personal preference or group needs.
- Tamers: Open
Tamers are able to control animals. Some raise produce animals while others lead more carnivorous animals and are able to hunt and protect the group from danger.
- Builders: Open
Structures they build will hold better than anything other characters can make. They will create the shelters and buildings that create comfort on this land.
- Tool Makers: Open
Tool makers can create tools for others to use. Their tools last longer and increase the product the tool gives. Once useless items like sticks and twigs can be used to make spears and fire.
- Cooks: Open
They change what you give them into things the group can use. If you go on a journey have a cook give you food and you will not have to eat that week. Having the cooks cook will lessen the amount of food eaten each week but cooks can only serve 2 people plus themselves. So the more cooks you have the less food is removed from the reserves.
- Loners: Ask Staff
Loners are rare, very rare but can at times be the safest position when groups go to war. They are left to survive on their own and steal from the group. Many will find this position stressful and may try to create their own group or join another at some point.
