Water. In his mouth, his throat, his lungs, his eyes, his ears. Water was everywhere. He couldn't see or hear or feel.
Adian opened his eyes. A harsh light hit his retinas and he flinched as water poured from his nose and mouth. He could feel sand. He could actually feel sand underneath him. It was warm and grainy and... alive. It was the first thing Adian had ever felt. Or so he thought. He felt muscles working as he wiggles his fingers and toes. He felt heavy and cold and wet. He could also feel the sun on his skin.
Oh how nice it was to simply feel. Adian simply laid there, ignoring the burning in his nose and throat as water escaped in desperate coughs. The first real thought that came to him was his name. "I am Adian Savage. He croaked out, not knowing if anyone was there near him or if he was even... alive?
Allowing himself a moment or two on the warm sound, Adian tried to gather himself and what exactly was going on. Nothing but a blank wall came to him. Of course breathing and talking came naturally but are those things someone could really forget.. or perhaps, never know?
Adian pulled himself up, his body stiff from cold. It was then that a harsh pain in his stomach really got him up. That was hunger. "Oh goodness, where am I?" Adian asked his surroundings, hearing his voice was odd. Blue eyes looked around and found nothing to help answer his question. Oh well, onto more pressing things. Where exactly could he find food? Or something to help the pain in his stomach.
OOC: I'm using my one-a-week memory for his name. Also, is it okay if this is open? If not, I wouldn't mind getting some mod/god/admin posts in to help develop Adian a bit and get him eating and working on a mini shelter for others.

There wasn't much to think about as no one had a thought. Their minds were lost to the waves as it created an almost eerie nothing.
The urge to see, speak, listen and breathe all sprung on her as she first touched the dry sand. She couldn't help but flip over onto her stomach and cough up the water that invaded her body. Coughs turned into gasps as she started to remember how to breathe and its importance. Crawling up onto land her thoughts of escape from the suffocating substance changed to confusion. As the waves now only hit her boots her eyes narrowed.
"Where am I?" Before this moment she swore she was... was... She didn't remember. There was nothing there but empty space and knowledge of what she was doing right now. The words on her tongue had to be a mistake because until right now she had never thought them or spoke them to anyone.
Anyone? Are there others? She bolted up right pulling her legs a bit closer at she stared out into the ocean. She didn't make a sound but her eyes widened as she looked out to see the silhouettes of hundreds of others. Where ever she was she had escape some sort of death.
Shakily she stood up not taking her eyes off the scene. "What the hell?!" She growled to herself as she didn't know what to feel about this. Tearing her eyes away to stop such confusing thoughts she spotted another. So there are others! Her body followed her gaze as a slow walk turned into a wobbly jog toward the man. The situation was simpler when she wasn't looking back.
OOC: Yeah, that's all fine. There is no base yet and no one to really introduce yourself to so it is best to start completely on the beach.

Adian shook the sand from himself and was able to take a solid look around. He was on a beach, obviously. There didn't seem to be too much around other than sand, a few shells and fruit trees. His calloused hands were able to brush the remaining sand from his hair.
The tall fellow took a moment to take a look at himself. He checked out his arms, they seemed a bit large to Adian but hey, they were his right? Maybe this was how... others like him looked? His clothing were drenched. Only one thing to do about that, Adian decided. He striped down to his under garments and laid his clothing neatly away from the water. Again Adian checked himself out. His stomach and legs were about as built as the rest of him. "Hah, funny." Adian said to himself, amused at his simple being.
Now Adian was back to the previous question. How to squash the rumbling in his belly. Luckily he didn't have to think about it right now. Another form was coming towards him. At first Adian wasn't sure if he should run the opposite direction but curiosity quickly quieted the thought. From a distance it looked like another human, but even so Adian couldn't quite tell. Seems like salt water wasn't too kind on the eyes.
When the person was finally close enough that Adian could fully see it, he felt a huge sense of relief wash over him. It was another person, a female in fact. At least that part of his memory was still there. The whole decency part wasn't. Adian waved to the approaching being a belt out a cheery call, "Hello! Thank goodness I'm not alone!"
At this point Adian walked towards the girl, abandoned his clothes where they were. "You have any idea how we got here? Or rather, where we can find some food? I'm starving."

The other being kept on getting bigger the closer she got. Is he a monster? What was a monster? She only knew the word but there was no image to correspond with it. His height made her think the word but everything else said human. For some remember she knew what that was. Just liek she knew what sand and water was. It just seemed normal A eyebrow rose to her own thoughts and then just stayed up as he removed his clothing. The jogging women registered a bit of embarrassment and curious on why.
Her jog slowed to a walk as she got close. She didn't trust her body to come to a complete stop without some help. That and the partially naked man was coming to her. Her eye brow was starting to get tired at this point... so she switched sides questioning the whole situation as she lightly waved to the male. "Umm Yo...So~ do humans normally greet each other without clothes?" The man seemed to have nothing to hide on his body but... She grabbed her shirt and opened it. Yeah, even though they were wrapped up she figured this was the reason she didn't feel compelled to remove her clothing like the male. A natural thought for a girl so instead of removing she just completely undid her shirt to air it out. "Anatomy wise I don't think it is advised I follow your example, streaker." The word was a bit wrong but that was the one she wanted to use and that was all that mattered.
"But that's not as weird as this place. I have no clue where we are. It's a beach but I don't remember coming here. All I remember is rudely waking up here and then greeting a naked man." She spoke as one hand rest on her tilted hips and the other scratched and sat on her head. A sarcastic tone started to appear toward the end but it seemed natural so she didn't apologize nor correct it. A growl of her stomach sent her out of this mood. The seriousness of her position dropped as her arms wrapped around her stomach. "Though getting food with said naked man sounds pretty good right now." It was spoken in a soft tone as she looked at him and then out to the beach.
"There are trees that way. If there is any fruit around, it would be under those palms." Lazily she turned and slowly walked. Her arms untangled themselves as she just grumbled and patted her stomach. Glancing to the side she check to see if he was coming with. She would prefer he got some clothes on as she wouldn't be that hard to find if he went back for the garments. When he appears at her side she would speak words she figured she should have begun with. "So who are you, streaker?"

"Humans?" Adian mumbled to himself. The word vaguely clicked. Just vaguely that is. It seemed that that was what they were, humans. Something in Adian's mind repelled the thought of being human but there wasn't anything to back it up, so Adian didn't fight it. "Damned if I know." Adian said, replying to her question. "My clothes are soaking wet, as are yours. I figured sitting around in sandy and wet clothing wouldn't be the best for me." That seemed right.
Back in the old days, when a woman exposed her chest Adian would go crazy. That was back then. Adian merely shrugged, "Well streaker or not, I am not putting on my clothes until they dry." Adian nodded, "Anyway, it's not like anything is falling out right." Adian said referring to a certain part of his body that he instinctively knew to keep covered.
"I remember about as much as you do." Adian admitted, looking rather sheepish. "I actually dragged myself out of the water way over yonder." Adian pointed towards the general direction he figured he had come from. "Wasn't pleasant at all really." With a shrug Adian crossed his arms over his chest, trying to remember anything before waking up. Again the blank wall hit him and he frowned.
It was the loud gurgling in his stomach that really woke him up from his rather unhappy state. "Yeah, food over by those palms sounds just about right." Adian agreed, feeling rather silly to not have thought about it. Turning to look at his clothing sprawled on the beach Adian again shrugged. "I have a feeling no one will touch those." He turned towards the girl in front of him. "Who am I? I'll tell you if you can beat me to those palms." Adian said rather jokingly.
With a sudden burst of energy Adian took off towards the palms, swaying idly in the wind. His bare feet dug groves into the sun warmed sand as he sprinted. Perhaps it was the motivation of food or the sheer joy of moving his newly found body that propelled him forward. His legs were toned, but not nearly as much as his arms. He was fast, but not unusually so. Perhaps the girl had a chance of actually beating him.

She could only scoff at the man's words. The feeling of being soaked was not something she enjoyed but she preferred that to running about in her undergarments. For some reason she wasn’t especially concerned with the others viewing her body but human females were supposed to keep their clothes on. She would stick to said assumptions until proven wrong. The only thing getting on her nerves was the sound of her boots and the feeling it creating, mentally and physically. The audio reminder that she had just came out of that creepy water and the squishing sensation that appeared with each step. It was really starting to tick her off.
"Streaker and his logical reasons. You thinkers get on my nerves." She didn't like to think with effort. Slowly she was finding out her body and mind naturally went with the flow. She didn't have to think as her body jumped straight into action. “Plus I'm not that soaked" She said as her hands gathered the white mane. With a twist she rang out the mess, basically proving herself wrong while a puddle formed under the action. “A natural dry should do the trick.”
“With this sun and all, I might be dry by today if I’m lucky.” Lucky was right. Who knew what the temperature would do when the sun went down. She may end up frozen to death for all she knew. For some reason the definition of cold told her to be careful but she didn’t really know what she feared. A race? The challenge broke her out of the mindless thought pattern. What was she doing thinking like that. She should have been right at his side when he took off.
He had his lead and he would keep it at this rate. She still was tired from her rough awakening. Her body was worn out and as she pushed it to run after the other it slowly gave out on her. She excited smile turned into a frown and the short breaths through her nose turned to gasps from her mouth. What started as a run turned to a jog quickly. Maybe later, with her strength back, she had a chance but right now there was no real contest. “Darn it!.....You…better…not…..eat all…the food……..streaker!” Her tired voice still held her fierce power. Like that would ever go away.

Adian had won. It wasn't that much of a surprise that he had. The red haired boy had the lead and had taken advantage of it. From his previous life, Adian was a very fit man. When the adrenaline started kicking in, he was able to really get himself going. Even if he had been sleeping underwater for a very long time.
When Adian had reached the trees, he turned around and watched the woman slowly jog towards him. A small frown danced across his face. Perhaps he should have thought before offering a race. They had both found themselves washed up on a beach. What had made him think either of them were fit to be sprinting across the sand? A slow ache built up in Adian's legs. It was curiously familiar, yet not. "Hurry up slow poke!" Adian called, trying to absolve himself of a feeling of guilt with a bit of humor.
When she finally reached him, Adian smiled at her. "My name is Adian, by the way, Adian Savage. It's all I can really remember about myself. What's your name?" He questioned her. What if she didn't remember it? That would lead to a slightly awkward situation.
"Anywho, these trees." Adian said, turning towards them. This time he actually looked them over. There was three coconuts already sitting in the sand. "Awesome! Look at this!" He cried as he bent down and picked one up. The coarse texture felt odd in his hands as he squeezed it, trying to break the shell.
Perhaps a flicker of his old self raced through arms. As he squeezed, the shell actually splintered then broke ever so slightly. Just enough so that the aroma could hit the boy's nose and send him waves of pleasure. He lifted the fruit to his lips and sucked the milk from it sloppily and without regard. "Here, let me get one for you." Adian said, once finished. He repeated the whole process of squeezing and breaking and handed it to Fuse. "I bet if we shook the tree, more would fall out, right?"

As of right now running sucked. Maybe later in life she enjoy it. Once she got food in her and some water maybe she could blast passed that male but that could be debated another time. Right now she just had to get to him. She was starting to feel monster was the accurate depiction of him. "I'm not Slow!" She forced out as she finally got to the trees. Her jog had slowed her breathing leaving her with only small pants. She came to a stumbling halt as she bent over to rest her hands on her knees. Next time, she would consider thinking before acting. Just maybe.
"Adian? So your name isn't streaker. I suppose that is more fitting." She chuckled to herself as a few deep breaths were taken. She heaved her body up so she could look Adian somewhat in the eyes. "Well, I'm...I'm-. You know that's a good question." She actually hadn't thought that far. What was her name? Maybe her's was Adian too?...No, no it wasn't. It didn't feel right at all. Maybe she should figure it...no, thinking was overrated. It would just come to her. She believed in it. Her name couldn't avoid her forever. It would want to be known soon.
"But let's not worry about that. Food is around." Not the type she would like to see but food was food and when it was being offered she wouldn't say no. Though his methods of obtain it were a bit scary and extreme. She enjoyed fights but she would try to avoid those hands. If a coconuts shell wasn't defense enough for the food than her muscles wouldn't save her bones and organs. "Yeah...thanks." Shy said softly as she rose an eyebrow to his technique.
Her full coconut sat in her hands a she angled it to stop the liquid from running away. "Why shake it when we could climb? Doesn't seem that bad of a hike up." She was going to do it anyways so it would be good to get something out of it. The height was appealing and if she did have to come down, she wouldn't.

Climbing the tree didn't sound like a bad idea after all. In the back of Adian's mind flashed a red flag. Being up high could be dangerous, something told him. The last thing he needed was to get hurt. At least the basic survival instincts were still intact. "I don't know Nameless Human." Adian said, deciding on what to call her without having his tongue and brain really connect.
Nameless Human would fit. Adian knew his name, he had known it the second he had opened his eyes and took his first breathe of air. If this female did not have a name, Adian would address her as such until something better suited her. Besides, what if he was the only one with a name? That didn't sound right to him. Everything had a name, didn't it? Oh well, no time to really think on that.
"I don't think we should be climbing a tree right now, seems unsafe. Also, I don't think I know how to climb. Back to my original plan," Adian said with a small smirk, "Shaking that tree." Grasping the tree with two calloused hands, he shook it vigorously. Coconuts began to fall around him, landing with a soft thud in the sand. "See, easy right? No need to climb. We should find somewhere to put these in case more people come out of the water. What do you say? If we woke up hungry I bet others will... Assuming there is others."

She just stared at the top of the tree. If she was up there...she didn't know what she would do. It wasn't just an urge to go all the way to the top and sit there. To be able to look down at everyone gave her a feeling of glee. A smile appeared and the coconut was lifted to her mouth as she took a long drink. If she was up there she could have all the food she wanted. Not he best food but food.
As she heard the name Adian gave her she lost her smile and sighed. She needed to remember hers before that name stuck. She wasn't going to call the awesomeness that she was 'nameless human'. She deserved a real name and title. The female's hands started to tear away the first shell. It was on the tip of her tongue but still sitting int eh back of her mind. She hated it. Slowly the shell broke open losing juices as she worked on the second one to get to the 'meat'. So she would change it. The need to think was becoming troublesome. "Fine. I'll climb it later."
Stepping back she dodged the raining balls of doom. Yeah, she was going up there personally next time. She didn't like witnessing someone stronger than her just flaunt it. His strength ticked her off as she finally got into her food and glared at the male while she stuffed her face. After a few slams of the shell into her face she swallowed and looked at the gathering of food. "Jeez, barbarian. You may rip down the tree next time." She threw down a piece of the empty shell near her feet as to keep an eye on it. She may need it later. " Just move them in a pile around here. If we find a place we find a place. Let's just find stuff to live on for now." Taking another bite she looked up the tree. Once this 'meat' was gone she would be up there. Those leaves looked nice for something...

Adian pondered the word barbarian for a moment. It didn't make much sense to him so he simply shrugged it off. Perhaps the woman was right on one point, he might break the tree if he did it again. Well, it certainly couldn't hurt to have a fallen tree. Perhaps they could do something with it. What, Adian couldn't fathom, but anything helps.
"I guess you're right." Adian admitted somewhat sheepishly. "We really should be focusing on stuff for ourselves at the moment. If someone else shows up and we aren't even alive... Won't do any good." He concluded, flashing a grin at the woman.
He did as she said, picking up the coconuts and moving them a bit away from trees. He threw them in a messy pile, disregarding any need for order. As long as they wouldn't be underfoot when Adian went and shook another tree. Which was exactly what he planned to do. Whether more people showed up or not, it would be helpful for him to know there was always a pile of food waiting for him if he needed it.
Adian walked to the closest tree and did the same thing again. He shook the tree as coconuts rained down, ignoring when they smacked his arms and back. He then preceded to pick them up and place them in a pile. Adian did this to two more trees and stood next to his growing pile of coconuts. A small shimmer of sweat glistened off his body in the midday sun. Taking one of his coconuts Adian cracked it and hungrily scarfed down the milk it contained. "Well now Nameless Human, what should we do now? I know my clothes aren't dry and yours don't look to good either. Think we could build a fire?" He asked, looking at her with some hope. Adian knew what a fire was, just not how to make one.

She continued to eat her bit of food trying to fill her stomach somewhat. This little bit wasn't going to do for a daily meal. She would put up with it for now but no one could survive on just coconuts. She slammed the last piece of shell into her face and shaved the contains off with her teeth. The piece was thrown to the ground again at her feet. She was going to keep them. They had to been good for some thing. Looking at the other she saw him bend to her words. "Don't take it like that. I just think we should hoard them here for now. Just so we have a land mark to find them by until we have a real home."
As she spoke she scratched her head and wander a bit. Moving pass Adian and the tree he was by, dodging the coconuts on the ground and going over to a bigger more mature tree. A high climb but the leaves looked inviting. "I'll wait Adian but next time were here and I have more strength I'm going straight up." She patted the tree like confirming her challenge but the nameless thing popped up. He was really kin on that name huh? It made her want to kick him. Toss a few coconuts on that head of his and maybe he would remember her name for her.
There had to be something she remembered... other than facts. Adian said something about a fire and making it. She knew she liked fire maybe she could make it too but with what. What she could remember they didn't have. No lighters or matches. Heck, she would take one of those cartoon bombs with those wicker fuses just so she could have the gun gunpowder to start the flame. ....For some reason she liked that words. Fuse. Not very name like but she liked it enough to be called by it. "Hey Adian, shut up with all that nameless human stuff. Call me Fuse. Anyways, leave the fire to me." Fuse suddenly gained some personality. Having a name felt great. Something for people to know and now she wasn't a nobody...but having her real name would always be better. Her cockiness was easy to see as her hand made there way to her pockets and a grin appeared on her face. "If you don't need help here I could go to the cliff. There may be wood over there since I can see trees just above it."

She swayed back and forth. Her boots squeaked with the movement but it was a fun sound to her. "I'm headed out. Don't get lost!" With that she turned and pranced toward the cliff. Her hand still firmly in her pockets as her hair bounced with joy. She didn't think she could be sad even in this sitcuation but she could be worried. Adian was the first person she met. If she wasn't concerned for his safety she wouldn't be human.
She turned for a sec. "Hey! I'll look for more people too so don't die while I'm gone." Wit that she changed her direction to wondering down the beach. It would be boring with just Adian and her so why not find more before firewood. She had no place to put the stuff and it was warm out. It stayed warm at night too right?
